Choose question-only import, full Quiz JSON round trips, or a FlexiQuiz connection according to how much structure must move.
Before you start
Sign in as a quiz author. Start with a quiz you own, because editing, importing, publishing, and assignment actions reject users who do not own that quiz.
Work through the product
Use CSV or plain text when adding questions to an existing quiz, and correct preview errors before confirming. Use a .quiz.json export when moving full structure and embedded media between QuizMachine accounts; duplicate titles require a new title. Trainers can connect FlexiQuiz, preview mapped content and warnings, then import selected quizzes.
Expected result
The preview identifies invalid or duplicate content before persistence, and the confirmed import creates a new quiz that can be reviewed without altering the source file or source system.
Limits, privacy, and control
Inspect every preview warning and keep a copy of the original export. Imported files are data, not authority: ownership, plan limits, validation, and duplicate-title checks still apply.
