Create, preview, publish, close, reopen, and duplicate a quiz
Follow the complete owner workflow from a private In Design quiz through Preview and Open to Closed, with safe reopening and duplication.
Before you start
Sign in as the owner of the quiz you want to manage. Preview and read-only information may be broader, but lifecycle, settings, distribution, and result actions enforce owner access.
Work through the product
Create the quiz from Dashboard, build pages and questions on Create, save behavior on Configure, and use Preview before Publish. Opening requires at least one question and respects the owner's current plan limit. Close an open quiz to stop new attempts, reopen it from Publish when needed, or Duplicate it to create an independent copy while retained responses stay with the original.
Expected result
The quiz moves from a private draft to a tested, open assessment and can later be closed or reopened without losing its questions or retained responses.
Limits, privacy, and control
Public links and embeds are intentionally easy to forward. Use login, single-use invitations, assignments, or revocable access codes when the audience must be restricted.
Troubleshooting
If a control is unavailable, confirm that you own the quiz, have the required organization role, and are within the current plan limits. Save the current tab before moving on, then preview the quiz with a test response before inviting respondents.
