Use locale-aware numbers, tolerances, equivalent units, and optional feedback on working.
Numbers are parsed with the selected format. Compatible units are converted before exact, absolute, relative, or significant-figure tolerance is applied. This deterministic result sets the score.
Numeric checks use the configured number format, units, and tolerance. Symbolic checks use equivalence and any required or forbidden form, just as final grading does.

The server counts checks. A correct check or the last allowed check locks the answer and reveals the correct answer and feedback. The correct answer is not sent before locking. A locked answer cannot be changed when submitting.
