Help guide #3

Add respondent users and groups, assign quizzes, and send invitations

Choose between managed respondent identities, reusable groups, owner-controlled assignments, and invitation links, then understand how each person reaches the portal.

Before you start

An administrator or higher manages respondent users and groups. The quiz owner then assigns that quiz to in-scope users or groups; respondent accounts remain separate from organization author accounts.

Work through the product

Administrators create respondent users individually or by CSV and organize them into groups. The quiz owner opens Assignments for that quiz and adds in-scope users or groups; assigned, logged-in respondents see it in My Quizzes. Invitations are quiz-specific links with status and reminders. Suspending a respondent blocks portal access without deleting retained results.

Expected result

Each audience receives an entry method appropriate to its identity and access needs, and the owner can revoke codes or assignments without changing the quiz content.

Limits, privacy, and control

Collect only respondent data you need, explain its purpose, and use assignments or login requirements when results must be tied to a known person.

Troubleshooting

If a control is unavailable, confirm that you own the quiz, have the required organization role, and are within the current plan limits. Save the current tab before moving on, then preview the quiz with a test response before inviting respondents.
